Hacking Course Hire

Always loved the idea of riding around the Eland Lodge estate? Bring your horse for a lovely hack around our beautiful parkland. Whether you want a nice relaxed ride or you’re working on you horse's fitness, we’re sure you’ll have a great time!

Please note there is strictly no jumping allowed during these hacks. Walk and trot only, cantering is allowed in the woodland tracks but please be aware of other riders around you. Number Bibs must be worn. Please see our competition and site rules, and health, safety and legal information. Our Current Vaccination Rules & Requirements apply to this event.

Hacking Course Cost

The cost of hiring the course is £15 per horse. This allows you to use the course for as long as you like on that day. Please note that there may be other riders on the course at the same time.

Hat cameras and GoPros are not permitted. You will need to bring your own number bib for your session, we will provide you with the paper number when you check in at the shop.

All riders MUST wear a Peakless Hat and Body Protector that are both up to current British Eventing standard at all times on the Hacking Course and Hacking Course Warm Up. If you are wearing an air jacket, you must wear a standard BETA Level 3 2018 body protector underneath.

You are not permitted to lead on foot, lunge or long-line horses on the course. All riders must be mounted, though you can bring someone on foot to walk round with you.

How To Book The Hacking Course

Please click "Book Now", choose your service, preferred booking slot, and enter your details when prompted. Please pick the nearest available slot to the time you wish to arrive.

You must sign in at the shop upon arrival and pay if you have not yet done so. If you wish to use a volunteer voucher or gift card, please book below and select the 'Pay Later' option when prompted.

Please note that the shop closes at 5.30pm Monday-Saturday and 4.30pm on Sunday so you must arrive prior to this to sign in, otherwise you will not be permitted on the course.
