E-Commerce & Marketing Manager


We have an exciting opportunity at Eland Lodge for an E-Commerce and Marketing Manager to join our team.

Eland Lodge is a well-known equestrian establishment offering one of the best specialist equine stores in the country together with a superb competition venue and a premium livery facility. We are seeking a marketing professional capable of producing and implementing a strong marketing strategy for all areas of the Eland Lodge business, with a particular focus on e-commerce.

This role would suit someone looking to join an ambitious family business and take ownership of our marketing. The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing professional with plenty of creative ideas to contribute. Strong digital and IT skills are essential for this role, including knowledge of website management, email marketing and social media. Knowledge of digital marketing channels such as PPC, social media marketing (paid and organic) and email is vital. An interest and experience in equestrianism is also essential.

Job responsibilities include:
 ▪️ Producing and implementing marketing strategies for each of the business areas: e-commerce, shop, events, facility hire and livery yard.
▪️ Maintaining and improving the Eland Lodge website, ensuring it is kept up to date, on trend and user friendly.
▪️ Producing and implementing a strong on & off page SEO plan to grow organic traffic.
▪️ Adding new products to the Shopify website in line with SEO best practices.
▪️ Overseeing all aspects of the e-commerce order fulfilment and customer service process.
▪️ Producing strategic multi-channel marketing campaigns including PPC, affiliate and influencer marketing, social, digital adverts and email campaigns. ▪️Managing a content schedule and overseeing the Content Marketing Executive’s production of engaging organic content for a range of social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest & Tiktok). ▪️ Identifying print and digital advertising opportunities, purchasing advertising space, creating adverts and managing budget.
▪️ Producing all relevant reports on e-commerce sales and campaign overviews.
▪️ Producing weekly reports for management, and annual reports and analysis to inform future marketing activity.
▪️ Ensuring the consistent communication of Eland Lodge’s brand image and reputation. ▪️ Upload social media stories on event days and take photographs for a social media event round-up post.
▪️ Collaborating with our digital agency.
▪️ Line manage the Content Marketing Executive and packing team.

The ideal candidate will:
▪️ 
Have at least 3 years of marketing experience.
▪️ Have in-depth knowledge of the equestrian sector.
▪️ Be comfortable working with Shopify, Mailchimp, Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite. ▪️ Be self-motivated and have an excellent level of attention to detail.
▪️ Work well both independently and in a small team.

This job is 9am – 5.30pm office-based at Draycott-in-the-Clay (DE6 5HD) on the Derbyshire/Staffordshire border.
 Approximately 7 days over the year will require weekend working with a day back in lieu. 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
Salary range: £25,000 - £30,000

Equestrian Retail Assistant - Part Time
If you’re looking for an opportunity to combine your customer service skills with your passion for all things equine, then this could be the ideal job for you!

As part of this Sales Assistant role, you will need to:
- Confidently deliver first class customer service to a range of customers
-Have good equine knowledge
-Be self-motivated and enthusiastic

Full training will be provided on fitting safety wear, all technical products, and use of the till/IT systems as well as coffee shop/food preparation.

This role will offer you the chance to grow your skills and experience in a friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive equine retail environment.

Part Time Groundsperson

We’re looking for a flexible, reliable and hard-working Groundsperson to join our team 3 days per week with immediate start, working outdoors on our cross-country course.

Main duties will include:
-Mowing
-Strimming
-Painting
-General gardening tasks
