The Premier Performance Calming Powder is a powerful everyday supplement that helps your horse to stay calm, confident and focused without affecting the ability to perform. The Active ingredient L-Tyrosine is a natural mood stabiliser, which can help towards a more focused, confident horse and less anxious horse.
L- Arginine is the active ingredient used by the body to change into Nitric Oxide (NO). Nitric Oxide is a powerful neurotransmitter. As Nitric Oxide levels becomes greater it can help to deliver the amino acids quicker.
Calming powder is ideal for horses during stressful situations such as breaking, training, loading, travelling, clipping, racing, outings and competitions or any situation that causes anxiety, stress or fear.
It is specially designed for those who prefer to administer their calming supplements as a powder. Calming Powder has all the same benefits as Calming Cookies ® but a slightly stronger formula with effects still being seen after 8 hours for an average horse. Every horse is different and will metabolise at different rates as well as having pre-existing levels of non-essential amino acids in the body.
The Calming Powder has a full range of natural vitamins, minerals and amino acids for general health and natural well-being of the digestive system.
Calming Powder and Calming Cookies ® complement each other and can be fed together.

1 scoop (30ml) = 18g
Per 500kg horse, administer 1 level scoop in the morning. Some horse may benefit from 1 level scoop of calming powder in the evening if extra support is needed. Mix with feed. Can be syringed by mixing with a little water to form a paste.
Can be fed alongside the Calming Cookies.
For difficult behaviours a loading dose for up to 10 days is recommended. The effects of the Calming Powder are more predictable and consistent when fed regularly and twice a day.
Loading dose feeding rate
Weight of Horse:
- Under 500kg: ¾ scoop twice a day
- 500kg – 600kg: 1 scoop twice a day
- 600kg+: 2 scoops twice a day
Maintenance feeding rate
Weight of Horse:
- Under 500kg: ¾ scoop once a day
- 500kg – 600kg: 1 scoop once a day
- 600kg+: 2 scoops once a day

Ordering and dispatch times
Orders placed before 1pm will be dispatched on the same day (Monday - Friday). Orders placed after 1pm may be dispatched on the next working day. Orders are not dispatched on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.

Certain areas of the UK will be subject to an additional postage fee (approximately £10 per order), regardless of the order value. Standard delivery will take between 2-5 days, next day delivery is not available in these areas:

We use DPD Local and Royal Mail to make sure your parcel gets to you quickly and safely.
Signing for your parcel
Many of our parcels require a signature upon delivery to ensure they are received safely.
Please provide us with an address where someone will be in - we can deliver to friends, family, neighbours or your workplace – please provide this alternative address in the delivery address field.
If you’d prefer your parcel to be left in a safe place, please make a note of this in the delivery comments box. Delivery to your safe location will be at your own risk.
Please note that we cannot deliver to PO Boxes.
Eland Lodge will not be held responsible for or issue refunds for items that are damaged or lost after the items have been successfully delivered to your selected delivery address.
If you’re out when the courier attempts to deliver they will leave an information card for you, this will state:
If the courier will attempt re-delivery (delivery will be attempted a total of 2 times)
If the courier has left your order in your nominated safe place
Whether you need to arrange collection from your local depot
Tracking your parcel
Once your order is ready for dispatch we’ll provide you with a tracking number and courier, so that you can track your parcel on their website.
If there could be a delay
We always do everything we can to get your parcel to you on time. If we think that there may be a delay with your parcel we will contact you to let you know (and if you’re not happy with the revised delivery date we will of course cancel your order and refund you in full).
There are some unforeseen circumstances that can prevent your parcel arriving on time that are out of our control, such as: courier breakdown, extreme weather and illness.
Problem with your delivery?
If you receive your parcel and believe that it’s damaged or something is missing, please let us know straight away and keep your packaging/delivery note. Our helpful team will get this sorted for you as quickly as possible.
Click & Collect
If you’ve chosen click and collect your order will be ready to collect from our store within 2 working hours. We will hold your item for one month (unless you’ve requested an item be held until a specific date) – if it’s not collected by this time you will be refunded and the item returned to our store.
International delivery
This is not a service that we currently offer. However, if you wish to arrange parcel forwarding with a third party, we can deliver within the UK.
