Safety Standards have changed – are you up to date?

Hat & Body Protector standards have been updated by sporting governing bodies for 2018 competitions. This means that when you compete at Eland Lodge, you’ll need to make sure you’re safety wear is up to standard! Take a look at the video for information.

If you’re unsure about the standards or fit of your safety wear, pop into the shop. Are staff are experts in all things safety, and can offer you safety wear checks, advice and fitting free of charge!

Hat Standards - Dressage (Affiliated & Unaffiliated)

From 1st January 2018, your hat needs to have one of the following standards:

PAS 015
ASTM F1163: 2004a onwards plus SEI Mark
VG1
SNELL E2001 or E2016
EN1384 - 2017
AS/NZS 3838 2003 onwards

Hat Standards - Showjumping (Affiliated & Unaffiliated)

From 1st January 2018, your hat needs to have one of the following standards:

PAS 015 (1998 or 2011) Plus BSI Kitemark
VG1 Plus BSI Kitemark
ASTM F1163: 2004a onwards plus SEI Mark
SNELL E2001 or E2016
AS/NZS 3838 2003 onwards

Hat Standards - Eventing / Arena Eventing / Hunter Trials / Cross Country (Affiliated & Unaffiliated)

From 1st January 2018, your hat needs to have one of the following standards:

PAS 015 (1998 or 2011) Plus BSI Kitemark or Inspec IC Mark
VG1.040 2014-12 Plus BSI Kitemark or Inspec IC Mark
ASTM F1163: 2004a onwards plus SEI Mark
SNELL E2001 or E2016
AS/NZS 3838 2003 onwards Plus SAI Global Mark

Body Protector Standards

From 1st January 2018, if you're competing or training at Eland Lodge in Cross Country, Arena Eventing, One Day Events or Hunter Trials, You're Body Protector needs to have:

BETA Level 3 Body Protector with a 2009 Standard (Purple Label)
