One Day Eventing Training - Novice and Nervous
Designed specifically for riders aiming to compete in their first unaffiliated One Day Event, but have little or no experience in this area, or riders who feel that confidence issues are getting in the way of their progression. Cross country jumps start at 50cm.
Who is this session suitable for?
This session is designed specifically for riders aiming to compete in their first unaffiliated One Day Event, but have little or no experience in this area, or riders who feel that confidence issues are getting in the way of their progression. Cross country jumps start at 50cm.
The training day is split into sessions of 4 riders, who are grouped based on ability & goals.
What will the Training Day involve?
The day will consist of two parts – you’ll take part in an unmounted rider confidence session (approximately 45 mins), and then a session with an experienced instructor in each of the following elements that make up a One Day Event: Dressage, Showjumping and Cross Country. You will have the chance to discuss the requirements and format of a typical One Day event, and improve your skills in each of the areas.
The confidence session will help you to be positive about your riding experience, and coach you through any potential problems you may encounter, so these don’t interfere with your success when riding.
The ridden session will be relaxed, with no pressure to do more than you wish. You will have the chance to work on everything from dressage, showjumping to cross country. Experienced and qualified instructors will be on hand to help you achieve your goals for the session, and will be there to train and support you should you suddenly develop a taste for flying over the bigger fences!
Entry Fee: £80 - this includes a £10 voucher to cover a start fee at any Eland Lodge Unaffiliated One Day Event. Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
