With knowledge and specialisms covering a broad swathe of the equestrian profile, our mix of exceptional facilities and helpful staff is second to none!

JOHN & VERONICA COUPLAND

MANAGING DIRECTOR & COMPANY SECRETARY

Since taking over the reins at Eland Lodge in 2004, John and Veronica Coupland have brought a wealth of business management experience and expertise to the business. Eland Lodge has benefited from a continued investment and expansion, and over the last 14 years it has grown into the successful business that it is today.

John’s enthusiasm for and commitment to entry level equestrian sport is apparent throughout, and Eland Lodge has built an enviable reputation as a friendly, trustworthy, professional and well organised, competition venue, retailer and livery facility.

LIVERY YARD TEAM

Our Yard Team is led by Livery Yard Manager Jess Passey. Jess holds BHS Stage 1, 2 & 3 Qualifications alongside BHS Riding & Road Safety, and Ride Safe Guide Qualifications. Jess brings a wealth of experience in equine management and riding, and has worked with everything from youngstock to private liveries to showing horses. Jess also has hunting, team chasing and eventing experience with her own horses, and showing and working hunter up to a national level.

Our dedicated team of livery yard grooms have backgrounds in a variety of equestrian disciplines. All of our staff are knowledgeable about horse care and dedicated to the health and happiness of the horses they look after.

RETAIL TEAM

Led by Retail Manager Jade Faulkner, our fantastic retail team have a wealth of knowledge in all areas of the equestrian industry, having ridden and competed at a variety of disciplines and levels between them. This knowledge and experience, coupled with training and safety wear certification ensures our team are well placed to assist and advise you with all of your equestrian shopping needs.

EVENTS TEAM

The Events Team is led by Events Secretary Zoë Niven. Zoë joins us from Scotland after completing her role of Junior Event Organiser at Land Rover Blair Castle International Horse Trials 2021 and graduating from The Royal Agricultural University with a BSc (Hons) in International Equine and Agricultural Business Management. Zoë’s competition experience includes British Eventing, Unaffiliated Show Jumping and Dressage, Working Hunter and all Pony Club activities. Zoë is also responsible for looking after our event staff and volunteers, without whom we would not be able to run such hugely successful events.

ONLINE TEAM

Headed by Marketing Manager Fiona Southcott, the online team are committed to providing a great shopping experience – whether you’re looking for clothing, equestrian equipment or booking an event. The online team use their industry knowledge to bring you the latest information about events, sponsors, clothing, products and trends to hit the market.

GROUNDS TEAM

Led by Jack Coupland, the grounds team work all year round to make sure that all of our facilities are kept in tip top condition, from the livery yard, through to the arena and cross country course.

Overseen by Cross Country Course Designer Stuart Buntine, the team are constantly making improvements and additions to the BE standard course.
